Tesla, Shanghai factory

Groundbreaking was on 7 January 2019. Xinhua reports Tesla as the first foreign carmaker to use a new policy allowing wholly owned subsidiaries in China, and the plant as Tesla's first outside the United States, with a planned annual capacity of 500,000 cars.
