The Junior League (USA): implementing a participatory change roadmap

When Susan Danish became executive director of the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) in 2003, membership had declined for years; a 2005 survey of about 5,000 current and former members found satisfaction down since 1999 (Chronicle of Philanthropy). Part B of the Kellogg case describes the first steps of a participatory roadmap: purposeful messaging and design teams, through which AJLI made initial membership gains (Kellogg). By 2017, just under 60% of leagues had adopted the changes.
