Chart critique: the Women in the Workplace 2024 report
Page 8 of the Women in the Workplace 2024 report (McKinsey & Company and LeanIn.Org, 10th anniversary edition) states that for every 100 men promoted to manager in 2018, 79 women were promoted, and 81 in 2024. A bar chart gives the ratio for 2018–2024 (2024: women overall 81, white 89, Asian 99, Black 54, Latinas 65); a radial chart gives women's share of bachelor's degrees (59%), the population (51%) and entry-level employees (48%). On reading the bar chart, only the 2024 bars carry number labels.
