Pitfalls

Pitfall

Treating personality as destiny, or using it to screen people out. Judge et al. (2002) pooled 222 correlations from 73 samples: extraversion 0.31, conscientiousness 0.28, openness 0.24, neuroticism -0.24, agreeableness only 0.08. These are average correlations across many studies; they do not tell you how one particular person will lead.
