Pitfalls

Pitfall

Reading the seven steps as a new formula. Mento et al. (2002) record a remark by Kerr, one of the model's developers: it is a pilot's checklist that offers no new insights but makes existing knowledge more visible so no step is missed. The aim is discipline, not discovery.
